What to expect following initial contact.
We will arrange a face-to-face meeting at an agreed time and location, where I will listen, question, and learn about both participants. We will chat together and separately, as you share your love story, values, hopes, and dreams.
You may decide if like I can write your vows or if you would prefer to write your own or I can offer some suggestions. Sometimes, couples to write their vows privately as a surprise to each other on the day.
The entire ceremony will reflect your YOUnique personalities to fulfil your wishes on a beautiful, meaningful ceremony.
I will write a draft of your ‘story’, which I will forward by email. When you have signed off on this, I will create a complete order of ceremony for your special day, which will be forwarded in advance.
‘There is no more lovely, friendly, and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage.’
- Martin Luther
Vow Renewal Ceremonies
Many couples choose to mark special anniversaries by hosting a Vow renewal ceremony. As you have navigated the ebb and flow of matrimony, many changes will have taken place within you both individually and as a couple.
Whether you choose to renew your previous vows or would like to create new YOUnique vows in tribute to this next stage of your lives together, it would be my honour to work with you in creating your YOUnique ceremony, specific to your personalities, hopes and dreams for your continued future together.
We will arrange a face-to-face meeting at an agreed time and location, where I will listen, question, and learn about both participants. I will create full order of service, which you will subsequently sign off on.
Baby Naming Ceremonies
What is the significance of a name? Well, our names stay with us for life, and so for many new parents it can be a daunting proposition. However, you choose, welcoming a new baby into the world is such a joyous occasion, abundant with love and wonder.
Marking a new chapter in your family history, introducing the little one to family and friends in a ceremony reflecting your own core beliefs, values, and aspirations for this new life, will set the course of their internal moral compass as they progress through life, rather than following external influences.
‘Sometimes I worry you’ll realise that I’m ordinary’, said the boy. ‘Love doesn’t need you to be extraordinary’, said the mole.
- Charlie Mackesy
Milestone Ceremonies
There are many types of milestone ceremonies, graduations, book launches, retirements, professional achievements, and the more increasingly popular non-religious replacements for those not wishing to participate in the traditional religious ceremonies, first holy communion and confirmation.
All milestones are important and marking them with a special celebration boosts the confidence of participant’s, reenforcing their feeling of wellbeing and importance, whatever stage of life they are at.
‘All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them’.
- Walt Disney
Funerals Ceremony.
Prior to the ceremony I will personally meet with the bereaved family members, in order to learn about the deceased person and the life that they lived. I will write a ceremony that is YOUnique, individual and respectful to that person’s life, family, and values, using humour where appropriate, capturing their true selves within their story with warmth and empathy.
While many ceremonies are non-religious, a prayer, psalm or poem that has specific meaning to the deceased or their family can be included.
The service will be drafted and approved by the family, with any amendments required, made in good time.
The ceremony will be conducted to include the congregation who after all share some form of connection to the person whose life we are honouring on the day.
Ceremonies at Sea
Ceremonies at Sea offer the option of an ecological, and environmentally sustainable service. Returning your loved one to nature by laying their ashes upon the open waters, is a way to honour their life while uniting their spirit with the vast and eternal ocean. The sea, a symbol of endless journeys and boundless horizons, will carry their name on its waves, ensuring that their memory flows freely with the tides and winds.
From March until October, Celtic Lady 2, will depart from the picturesque harbour at Kilmore Quay, Co.Wexford making a brief journey across to The Saltee Islands, where we will drop anchor, for a calming atmosphere, embracing the beauty of our surroundings. Your personal ceremony, which will be written by Anne-Marie, and performed paying tribute to the life of your loved one, while we are serenaded by the song of the sea and its many forms of wildlife. The ceremony may be witnessed by close family or friends, who will lay a fully compostable wreath afloat on the surface, prior to departure. In this beautiful, natural setting, we take comfort knowing that they have been returned to the earth in a way that respects and preserves the environment they loved. The ashes we scatter will nourish the ocean, becoming part of the cycle of life that sustains us all. Resomation offers an alternative option from the traditional cremations, it produces no carbon emissions, it’s an ecofriendly and gentle process. Pure Reflections. Is the only operator here in Ireland providing this service, that honours the present and preserves the future.
